So, I'm going for a new look here.  Tell me what you think...

One of my all-time favorite Poser visionaries (Steve @ 3D Universe) has come out with a new line of Toon figures.  He calls them Toon Generations.  They come equipped with a python random generator script (for morphing the base figures and even for the body colors and clothes colors if you want).

Anyway, they came on the market this morning and I had to buy the entire bundle.  My first creation with it came out looking (to me) like Larry Tate...especially when I added the mustache.  The second came out looking like the original Darrin (again, at least to me LOL).

In any event, it seems that this is the new direction for the blog.  I'll be back when I've gotten Samantha (Serena) and Endora done.

Endora

A real witch's witch, Endora (you can't pronounce her last name) is the major influence in Samantha's life.  Although she always means well in the end, Endora manages to keep poor Durwood's life in utter chaos. 

Family is very important to her and she will do anything in her (considerable) power for Samantha and the children (Darwin is often just an afterthought...if that).  In Endora's world, Mamma knows best...about everything.

Although she is currently separated from her husband, Maurice, they are still very much involved in each other's life.  Maurice is the only one that Endora acknowledges as superior to her...well, maybe, grudgingly, the Witches Counsel...but that's it.

Her sister, Minerva, has recently returned from an extended tour of the universe (following the unfortunate demise of her husband, Maurice's brother)...how else did you expect that Samantha and Serena were identical cousins?  Minerva has recently been seen in the company of her former brother-in-law...much to Endora's surprise!!

Tabitha and Adam

Darrin and Samantha's children are just plain adorable...unless they happen to be twitching their noses, that is.  Despite popular opinion, Adam is indeed a little warlock.  Of course, he's more likely to summon up a drink of milk than anything else with his powers...but what do you expect from a kid whose closest companion is a cat?

Tabitha is a couple of years older, but just as likely to get herself into trouble with her powers.  She's been twitching a couple of years longer than Adam, but she's still learning the ropes.

Of course, although Darrin would rather that they mainstream in the world of mortals, with the likelihood of one of them turning a classmate into a frog, it's probably better that they hang out with their Spooky Friends instead.

Darrin Stephens

An up and coming young advertising executive in the New York firm of McMann and Tate.  Who knew that his life would take such a turn when he met the girl of his dreams?  Unfortunately, this girl came with baggage...mostly in the form of her mother (although her other relatives are a bit odd as well).

Darrin insisted that his wife, Samantha, not practice the family talent of witchcraft, but it's hard for her to keep that promise...lucky for Darrin!  Samantha is all that stands between him and utter Chaos.  It's still chaos, but it is a bit more manageable.

All Darrin knows is that he loves his wife with all his heart and that she loves him...and that's all that really matters.  Right?

Samantha Stephens

A not so typical suburban housewife who lives in Connecticut with her husband, Darrin, and two children.  On the evening of their wedding day, she announced to her new husband that she was a witch...and then she proved it to him.

Although she is still considered young (for a witch...and she'll never tell you just how old she really is), she is quite powerful.  Still, for the sake of her marriage, she does her best to curb her natural instincts to twitch her nose or recite an incantation.  Lucky for us, she isn't quite as successful at that as she'd like to be.

Most of the time, she has to use her powers to get Darrin out of whatever predicament her endless stream of relatives (mostly her mother) happens to get him into.

A Change of Plans

Well, my little excursion into the world of comics has sort of been a bit derailed.  I'm happy to finally be back to work after a year of unemployment, but the new job doesn't leave me a lot of time to pursue my hobbies.

With apologies to my legion (does 2 count as a legion?) of followers, I don't think that I'm going to be able to continue with this last story line.  It's been so long since I've been able to work at it, that I've started to forget where I wanted to go with the story.

That being said, I'm going to take a break from story telling and just do a little character profiling.  After that, who knows?  Maybe I'll go back to doing simple one-panel vignettes...

I'm a Bad Boy

When I get home from work at night, I'm too tired to do anything more than eat, watch a bit of the tube and go to bed...unless I had to bring some work home with me.  In other words, I'm pretty much back to the schedule that I had at my last job.

Weekends have been torn between doing system testing for work (we're in the middle of a conversion that goes live in February) and moving my mother-in-law.  She finally moved into the new place yesterday, but we're still helping her settle in and find places for her stuff in the apartment.  It's like trying to put six pounds of (well you know...) into a five pound bag.

Fun times!!

Sorry About No Postings Lately

Between going away to New Hampshire for New Year's and then starting the new job this week, I haven't done any Poser work at all.  I'm going to try to continue this on the week end...but we'll see what happens.  We also have to move John's mother from her house (which she sold and closes on in a couple of weeks) to her new apartment.  Fun times!!
