I Got the Job

I got a call from the recruiter this afternoon...and the job offer.  Of course, I accepted.  I start on January 3rd.  It's the nicest Christmas present that I've gotten in a long time. :LOL:

Seems Like Weeks

Here's a new post.  We'll see how well I'm able to keep up a more consistent routine. :lol:

I did get a call from the job that I interviewed for last week.  I was told that I was a finalist and was asked a few questions relative to what I expected to get paid.  I told the guy honestly that, since I've been out of work for a year now, I really don't expect to make what I was making in my last job.  At this point, anything over what I'm getting from Unemployment would be a blessing.  He said that they did their best to make certain that the pay would be fair to both the employee and the company...but no figure was mentioned.  :sigh:

We're Pretty Much Settled In to the New Place

I should be getting back to working on the strip next week.  Although I have been doing some Poser work this past week, it's mostly been on fleshing out the replica of the condo that I made...adding the details like putting some china in the china cabinet and playing with different light sets.

I had a job interview this morning.  I actually met with three different individuals for a total of about 2 hours.  From my perspective, they were all good interviews.  I was told that a decision would be made by Monday, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed this weekend.

The Move is Going OK

We've had a few moments when we can actually see the furniture...then we pick up some more boxes from the condo and get frustrated again.  John is feeling good because he's started putting up the Christmas decorations already...of course, I really could care less about that.

I'd appreciate it if somebody could actually comment about something.  It's seems spooky to have a blog with no comments at all.  LOL

Moving

I haven't posted in a few days because we've been getting ready to move.  We picked up the keys to the new apartment this morning and a friend helped us to move some of the more fragile stuff.  Tomorrow, the movers come for the furniture and the rest of the boxes.

We'll probably still be moving stuff over the next week or so.  Nobody's even looked at the condo yet, so there is really no big hurry to vacate it.

Anyway, I hope to start regular posts again next week.

New story arc...

Now a word of explanation.  This actually became the last strip for this story arc due to some Real Life issues that took up a lot of my time back then.  As originally planned, this strip would have culminated on Halloween after the big costume party. 

Unfortunately (well no so much), we ended up going on a trip to New York to see the granddaughters (we always take the opportunity to see the kids whenever it arises) right over the Halloween weekend.

So, this is the end of the great Frankenstephens story.  I'll start posting the 3rd story arc tomorrow and that will catch us up.  After that, I'll post whenever a strip is done...usually, I "try" to post one a day, but you know how Real Life can be.
